The AFK CEO Mission
AFK CEO is not implying that you should abandon your business and ignore your responsibilities.
In fact, quite the opposite.
I want to help you build a business that can abandon you.
A business based on systems and processes... a well-oiled machine that isn't dependent on you. You can actually take time off, travel the world, and do the things that make you happy.
Isn't that why you wanted to start a business in the first place?... Lifestyle design is the answer.
My mission is to inspire you to reconsider if you have designed the life you truly want.
Most people design their life around work but go to work every day hating their job, dreaming about the day they can quit and live the rest of their days on some quiet beach.
I believe you should design your life first, figure out what your ideal life would be, and then design work around that.
This begins with a shift in focus from believing that you live to work to believe that you should work to live.
Lifestyle Design: Employees vs Employers
I won't skip over the fact that it's generally harder to design your ideal life around a 9-5 job.
You have obligations, responsibilities, and strict expectations that don't give you much personal time.
Because of this, I believe the best way to succeed in lifestyle design (and in living a happy, fulfilling life overall) is by pursuing entrepreneurship.
Lifestyle Design For Entrepreneurs
I believe there are 2 types of entrepreneurs:
- those who want to build the next Facebook
- those who want to quit their job and own a lifestyle business
And my thesis is that more people want lifestyle businesses than Facebooks.
Sure, you could own and operate a billion-dollar public company and deal with meetings and corporate politics for the rest of your career.
But what if, and just hear me out... instead you built a $20k/mo business that you could fully automate over time?
Allowing you to spend more time with your family. Never have to deal with investors, meetings, or other obligations. Take vacations whenever you want. And live anywhere in the world?
To me, there's a clear winner there and it's just not even close.
My mission is to pursue the latter and share everything I learn along the way.
Follow along and hopefully I can help you do the same.
